Joseph M. Demko is a well-loved and highly-respected former teacher, assistant principal, principal, associate superintendent, superintendent and trustee with St. Albert Public Schools. He is the only person in the history of our division to have served in all of these roles.
Since he first began student teaching with us in 1969, Joe has been a strong and committed advocate for children and public education. By naming this school after him, our Board of Trustees has ensured that a new generation of students will become aware of the significant impact he has had on our division and the world of education. Joe has touched thousands of lives – those of students, parents and colleagues – during his time with our division.
